Job Description: The NetScaler Load Balancer Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Citrix NetScaler (now Citrix ADC) appliances to ensure high availability, security, and performance of enterprise applications and services. The role involves close collaboration with network, application, and security teams to deliver reliable load balancing and traffic management solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage Citrix NetScaler (ADC) load balancing solutions for web and application services. • Configure L4–L7 load balancing, SSL offloading, content switching, and GSLB. • Manage NetScaler Gateway for secure remote access and authentication. • Integrate NetScaler with Active Directory, RADIUS, LDAP, and MFA solutions. • Troubleshoot application delivery and traffic flow issues across multiple environments. • Monitor and optimize load balancer performance, health checks, and SSL certificate renewals. • Develop and maintain documentation — configuration guides, topology diagrams, and operational procedures. • Implement and support NetScaler policies, responder actions, rewrite policies, and session persistence. • Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness of load balancing infrastructure. • Collaborate with application teams during deployment and migration activities. • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and proactive maintenance on NetScaler appliances. • Maintain compliance with organizational security and change management policies. Required Skills and Experience: • 3–7 years of hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler / Citrix ADC. • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and routing concepts. • Experience with Load Balancing (LB), Content Switching (CS), and GSLB configurations. • Knowledge of NetScaler Gateway / VPN, authentication mechanisms, and AppFlow / Insight Center. • Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation is an advantage. • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, etc.). • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience in packet capture tools (Wireshark, nstcpdump). • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
