Who Are We:

Investment Accounting function is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of Corebridge’s invested asset portfolio of over $200 billion, consisting of fixed maturity and equity securities, commercial mortgages, residential mortgages, and collateral loans, private equity and hedge fund investments. Investment Accounting is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting results in the investment sub-ledgers across multiple bases (US GAAP & US insurance statutory), the reconciliation of accounting books and records to the sub-ledgers, all external reporting related to invested assets and implementation of accounting for new/complex investment transactions.

About the Role:

  • Oversee forecasting and budgeting for the Global Real Estate Asset group.

  • Coordinate with various Front Office and Fund Accounting teams on a monthly and quarterly basis to provide Fair Value of Debt

  • Provide Quarterly Financials and Management Reporting to the head of Real Estate Asset group.

  • Responsible for management fee billing calculation for the various funds and coordinate billing to various investors.

  • Responsible for the Co-Invest plan, PCAP Statements and tax work.

  • Prepare GOE reports, Expense tracking for billing purposes via SAP internal orders.

  • Review and sign-off on quarterly balance sheet reconciliation and fund invoices.

  • Lead new initiatives for process improvements, in collaboration with other areas of the department/organization.

  • Promote and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment within the team and with the external business partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and reporting for investments, with concentration on Real Estate Finance.

  • Knowledge of Real Estate Investment Accounting. Understanding of investment and finance operations.

  • Familiarity with investment accounting systems such as Yardi, Investran or similar.

  • Experience with SAP General Ledger environment, or similar.

  • Experience with leading large teams and building cross-functional relationships withing a complex organization.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects at the same time, to prioritize appropriately, and to approach the work with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail to produce high quality results in a time-sensitive environment.

  • Process-oriented/control-oriented mindset, ability to drive improvements and the implementation of accounting controls to ensure consistency and data quality of the team’s financial output.

  • High level of motivation and initiative, ability to work independently, including strong organizational and management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels within the organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, and other external and internal audiences.
