The Red Hat Application Engineering and Certification Tooling team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in helping our partners achieve success with our products and platforms. You will help internal and external partners understand and use Red Hat tools to develop, integrate, and deploy their applications on a variety of Red Hat platforms like Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, OpenShift AI, and OpenShift Virtualization. You will also lead the development and maintenance of our certification tools and workflows for our existing ecosystem of partner certification programs. Successful candidates will have extensive experience working with open source tools and enjoy working directly with partners and customers.

What you will do

  • Work directly with Independent Software Vendors to remove technical roadblocks and develop, integrate, and deploy their existing applications onto Red Hat products like OpenShift, OpenShift AI, and OpenShift Virtualization

  • Develop and maintain certification tooling, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines for Red Hat’s Partner Certification programs

  • Provide feedback, suggestions, patches, and code contributions back to open source projects

  • Share technical expertise with Associate Software Engineers and Software Engineers to elevate team capabilities

  • Bridge collaboration between Red Hat product teams and Red Hat partners

  • Develop blogs, presentations, and workshops to help partners and customers understand the value of Red Hat products and platforms

What you will bring

  • +3 years Experience with Linux and Git

  • +3 Experience with open source development

  • +3 Programming proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Golang, or C++

  • Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

 Desired Skills

  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ansible, or Helm

  • An understanding of GitOps principles and practices

  • Public speaking experience

The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
