(50% Center for African American Health and 50% Frontiers Translational Science Institute)

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager at the Center for African American Health (CAAH) and the Program Manager at Frontiers: University of Kansas Clinical and Translational Science Institute, the Community Engagement Coordinator will provide critical support to both organizations in advancing their missions through community engagement and research initiatives.

For Frontiers, the incumbent will support the Community and Collaboration Core and the Network Capacity Core by contributing to community engagement efforts with vulnerable populations, navigating core resources, maintaining documentation, and collecting and reporting data in alignment with funder requirements.

At CAAH, the Coordinator will play a key role in promoting health equity within the African American community. This involves close collaboration with the Center's leadership to advance research initiatives that align with CAAH’s four pillars—research, education, service, and policy. The role also includes engaging with community health stakeholders, analyzing data, and supporting the development of research proposals.
