Job Summary
The Senior Supply Planner will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow of product from bean to cup.Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Supply & Production Planning
Own the supply planning process for all coffee SKUs produced at Manchester and through contracted manufacturers.
Develop and maintain mid-to-long-range production plans that align with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
Partner with Manufacturing and Operations teams to build achievable production schedules.
Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other inputs.
Manufacturing Management
Act as the primary supply planning point of contact for internal contract manufacturing team and (as needed) external coffee manufacturing partners.
Coordinate production plans with contract manufacturers and Manchester, ensuring alignment with forecasted needs and service expectations.
Coordinate RM purchases for Manchester with Procurement
Monitor production schedules, address risks or delays proactively, and maintain visibility to finished goods availability.
Inventory Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance DOH targets and financial guardrails
Partner with Demand Planning and Inventory Manager to ensure positioning across distribution centers and channels.
Monitor slow-moving and excess inventory and work cross-functionally on mitigation strategies.
Data, Reporting, & Continuous Improvement
Own and maintain key planning data in planning systems and spreadsheets.
Generate reports on supply planning performance, service metrics, and capacity utilization.
Identify and drive process improvements across the supply planning function to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Education and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or end-to-end supply chain planning within a manufacturing or CPG environment.
Demonstrated experience owning supply plans across multiple SKUs and coordinating production with internal manufacturing and contract manufacturing partners.
Strong understanding of capacity planning, inventory management (DOH targets), and service level trade-offs within financial guardrails.
Experience partnering cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Operations teams within an S&OP framework.
Proficiency in ERP and supply planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Kinaxis, etc.) with advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate forecast signals into executable production plans.
Experience managing manufacturing constraints and mitigating supply risk in a dynamic production environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions
