We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.

Job Description

We’re seeking a senior-level Data Scientist to lead advanced data analysis and systems engineering initiatives. This role leverages AI/ML techniques to solve real-world challenges, enhance system operations, and optimize sensor and other product configurations, enabling mission partners to make fast, data-driven decisions in complex environments. The position requires close collaboration with government stakeholders and offers the opportunity to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact on mission-critical systems.

This hybrid position is available in Austin, TX (preferred) or Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate must be able to work onsite at least three days per week.

  • Leads the design and deployment of advanced machine learning models and artificial intelligence solutions tailored to solve complex mission-critical challenges.
  • Analyzes diverse data sources, including structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, to extract valuable insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Mentors junior data scientists, providing guidance on technical problems and career development.
  • Manages end-to-end data projects, from data ingestion and cleaning to model deployment and performance monitoring.
  • Works closely with product and engineering teams to implement scalable, production-grade solutions.
  • Identifies new data sources and methods to enrich the analytical capabilities of the organization.
  • Delivers results and technical insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex ideas in accessible terms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level at hire. Clearances are granted to US Citizens.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with a strong command of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with real-time data processing, data engineering, and ETL pipelines.
  • Familiarity with deep learning, reinforcement learning, or natural language processing (NLP).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing data science teams and driving cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security considerations in data science applications.
  • Experience with model interpretability, bias mitigation, and explainability tools.
