The Space Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the master VCU Health space inventory database and space allocation floor plans encompassing over 5 million square feet of clinical, research and administrative space. The Space Coordinator collects, evaluates, and ensures data quality and prepares space allocation reports and visual aids for use in organizational planning and operations.

Experience REQUIRED: 3-5 years’ experience in facilities, space planning, inventory or related field
Experience PREFERRED: 5+ years’ experience in facilities, space planning, inventory or related field
Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Microsoft Access
Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field of study Working knowledge of CAD or Revit
Independent action(s) required: Verification of space, coordination of meetings with various department leaders at all levels of the organization; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects; Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.

Additional position requirements: Must be available for after hours or weekend assignment if the need should arise.
