Your New Role… 

 

CNN is looking for a Manager, Ad Product Operations to join our Ad Experience team, part of CNN’s Revenue and Growth Product organization. As a Manager, Ad Product Operations, you will partner closely with CNN Product, Design, Engineering, and International teams, as well as WBD shared service teams (Ad Ops, Technical Support) to implement our ad products across CNN platforms and to develop best-in-class processes and operations.  You will also will be responsible for owning relationships with revenue generating and revenue support teams, both internally and externally.  CNN is investing in building a premium, innovative ad experience that will be a core part of CNN’s and WBD’s long term growth strategy, and you will be part of the team that is driving this digital revenue growth.   

 

The ideal candidate understands product development lifecycles and has significant experience working with ads and ad-technology partners to prepare and execute ad product initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity and partnering with matrixed teams to get work done. Your Role Accountabilities… 

  • Communications: Communicate product roadmap and feature progress, rationale for product decisions and progress on product initiatives with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, CNN International Sales teams, as well as WBD shared services teams.   

  • Milestone & Dependency Tracking: Work across the sales and technology organization to manage and unblock dependencies, run meetings across CNN and WBD to drive feature milestones, and routinely communicate status updates and potential impacts to other teams.  

  • Partner Management: Work with our ad technology vendors & partners to track and help implement ongoing partner development work, regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the technology/partnership and identify opportunities where we might grow/expand the partnerships.  

  • Roadmap Prioritization:  Help develop and manage a process to evaluate, prioritize and. manage requests from internal and external stakeholders.  The Ad Experience team will use this process to help inform our roadmap.  

  • Roadmap Maintenance: As a member of the Product team, you will share responsibility with the Program Management lead for building and maintaining our team’s roadmap.   

 

Qualifications & Experience… 

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management or Product Management on a Publisher Ads team or at an Ad Technology company 

  • In-depth knowledge of digital advertising technology, including Google ad manager, Freewheel, programmatic ad platforms, and first party data tools 

  • Extensive experience with milestone and dependency mapping, and delivery - with a strong bias towards cross-department and cross-team management  

  • Demonstrated history of bridging priorities across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a skill for influencing others and resolving challenges with high levels of ambiguity in a highly-matrixed organization  

  • Experience with the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and product discovery to launch and product optimization 

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,630.00 - $144,170.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
