The Opportunity:
Abbott Business & Technology Solutions has an opportunity for an Sr Business Systems Analyst - Veeva CRM to support Commercial applications, specializing in Veeva Customer Relationship Management. The Business Systems Analyst is the primary liaison between the Commercial Delivery team and Abbott’s business, working to define and deliver IT solutions. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Information Technology professional with a proven track record. Strength in aligning IT solutions with business needs supporting information technology.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Partner with business and IT teams to define requirements and deliver solutions that further commercial objectives and enhance the field sales user experience.
- Work directly with clients and apply IT and business knowledge and experience to formulate an IT solution for a business problem.
- Analyze business processes; elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology components.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change; and leads, coordinates / performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements
- Provide expert advice on the selection, design, justification, implementation and business use of Veeva or other Commercial information systems
- Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and prepares technical solutions to address.
- Lead the software lifecycle quality compliance and testing process from inception to release; develop test plans to ensure system functionality, reliability, performance, and quality.
- Provide L2-3 system support to business end-users, troubleshoot system issues, design and implement resolution.
- Lead/manage small projects, minor enhancements and bug fixes
- Build a positive and collaborative working relationship with business partners, IT, contractors, and vendors. Communicate across multiple levels of stakeholders, users, and collaborators
- Conducts internal demonstrations or training to facilitate system understanding
- Oversees contractors, consultants, and vendor business analysts and testers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare or life sciences industry, including with Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault/ Salesforce.com (SFDC) or other large commercial business application.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a business analyst role working with a packaged CRM application (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce.com, etc).
- Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships between IT and business, leading to improved business results.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into a scalable solution design.
- Analyze and solve complex problems, supporting conclusions with appropriate facts & data
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Salesforce CRM implementation experience a plus, including business requirements definition, user stories, detailed functional and system design, configuration and/or customization involving the following areas: Opportunity & Lead management, Sales, Service, Marketing, Inventory/Asset Management.
- Experience implementing integrated solutions at a regional and global scale, including data warehouse and master data management considerations.
- Mastery of all phases of software development life cycle and project implementation using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Proficiency with software delivery toolsets, including Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), and Testing tools (HP ALM/Quality Center, Tricentis Tosca)
- Experience in healthcare or life sciences industry; working with validated systems a plus
- Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate course of action
- Travel up to 5-10%.

$86,700.00 – $173,300.00
