About the Role 

This role merges key responsibilities from maintenance and technical operations support. You’ll oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, mentor and develop your team, and ensure documentation, training, and compliance meet Fortna’s standards. 
 
You’ll act as a subject matter expert in mechatronics, controls, system software, and integration, while managing both reactive and strategic operations to drive performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance and support professionals 
  • Oversee planned/unplanned maintenance tasks and resource scheduling 
  • Act as SME in mechatronics, system infrastructure, controls, and software 
  • Ensure all CMMS processes, spare parts, documentation, and planning are up to date 
  • Submit and manage Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) 
  • Drive team coaching, training, and staffing strategies 
  • Track KPIs, performance, and ensure continuous improvement 
  • Foster alignment with internal teams and customer operations 
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, legal standards, and internal procedures 
  • Monitor budget, cost control, and team efficiency targets 

Who You Are 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical or engineering field) 
  • 7–10 years in a leadership role across maintenance or operational support 
  • Strong technical knowledge: mechatronics, controls, systems, CMMS 
  • Skilled in RCA, diagnostics, and continuous improvement 
  • A hands-on leader who mentors and motivates people 
  • Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager 
  • Fluent in Polish and English (German is a plus) 
  • Willing to work flexible shifts, including occasional evenings/nights
