Job Summary:  Accounts receivable and customer billing for Newport Retirement Services and affiliated companies, as well as, supporting team goals and objectives. All-inclusive from billing set-up to termination.

  • Customer billing for Newport including but not limited to set-up, change notice processing, review, corrections, maintenance, billing, termination
  • Creating on demand invoices
  • Researching and resolving billing inquiries
  • Managing tasks through Footprints ticket system and meet company guidelines with respect to response times
  • Researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Preparing adjustments in relation to billing functions and communicating with internal and external customers effectively
  • Maintaining integrity of data in fee application, CRM, and accounting system related to customer accounts and billing
  • Aged receivables support
  • Assisting with month end close procedures
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Proficient in use of accounting software, external partner sites, and recordkeeping software
  • Willingness to work the hours necessary to meet important financial deadlines
  • Keeps client information confidential
  • Regular, reliable and punctual attendance

Management Responsibilities (none)

Required Education, Experience and Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office products with at least an intermediate user level in Excel.

Preferred (but not required) education or skills for this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university OR equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Two years’ experience in financial service industry, billing, or accounting
