Role Summary:

Support and execute site-level Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on improving productivity, reducing wastage, enhancing quality, and strengthening shop-floor discipline.

This role will work closely with the Lead / Manager – Operational Excellence and cross-functional teams to implement Lean, TPM, and performance improvement initiatives at the site. The incumbent will play a key role in deployment, tracking, and sustenance of OE tools and practices..

  • Resonsabilities are within Manufacturing Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
  •  May plan, direct and/or control some manufacturing activities within the company. Duties might involve coordinating operating activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives.
  •  Additional duties involve the estimation of manufacturing capacity, production and materials control and site facilities, maintenance and other manufacturing support activities. May set up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature.
  •  Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials.
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing. Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.
  • Accountable for the results of medium-sized routine support or production operations teams. Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations team.
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
  • Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations.
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and analytical problem solver, capable of simplifying complex issues, evaluating solutions, and delivering superior business results.

Key expectations from the role are: -

OE Strategy – Partner with leadership team to develop site OE strategy and support in driving strategic priorities.

Process Improvement - Leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate process variations, driving consistent quality and productivity improvements.

Asset Reliability – Working closely with Production, Engineering & Quality managers on implementing JH, PM & QM pillars of TPM.

Cost Optimization (Pegasus) – Organize ideation event for identifying projects, mentor site team members in project execution and organize periodic reviews with site head and head of OE.

Lean Manpower Optimization – Focus on human intervention reduction in operations by conceptualizing and developing low-cost automation solutions.

Training & Development - Develop training programs and conduct workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members in OE methodologies.

MIS & Reporting - Establish site MIS to measure the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives and provide regular progress updates to management.

Skills required

  • 6-10 years of experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in driving OE
  • Proficiency in TPM – JM, PM, and / or Lean Six Sigma
  • Good understating of Daily Management System
  • Technical Knowledge on manufacturing process, planning and execution and presentation skills with good English fluency.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, Power BI, Tableau, AI & Analytics would be an advantage.

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Plastics)
  • Preferred Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified TPM facilitator
