Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Oncology (Ovarian Cancer) - Italy

IQVIA, a global leader in healthcare technology and clinical research, is seeking 5 experienced Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to join our newly established Oncology team. This exciting opportunity comes as we partner with a pharmaceutical company pioneering in the field of cortisol modulation in oncology, investigating the potential of a promising first-in-class oncology product.

Our partners portfolio comprises innovative therapies designed to modulate the effects of cortisol, offering new possibilities in the treatment of ovarian cancer and other malignancies. These therapies are currently undergoing clinical trials, aiming to deliver ground-breaking solutions for the unmet needs in oncology.

This field-based MSL role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of the team as we expand our partners reach in the European market.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Highly motivated, experienced pharma industry MSL with a proven track record of success
  • Deep knowledge in the oncology therapy area, ideally within gynaecological oncology
  • Prior experience working as a ‘pipeline’ MSL or in another role within the clinical trials environment is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Strong scientific background – ideally PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc
  • Eligibility to work in Europe full-time
  • Full driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Providing field-based medical support to the company’s clinical research programs
  • Delivering credible presentations on scientific matters related to cortisol modulation in oncology
  • Engaging with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrolment/screening barriers from a medical perspective
  • Providing support to clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, and communication facilitation
  • Engaging in accurate, fair, and balanced scientific exchanges with external parties
  • Reporting field intelligence, including treatment landscape insights
  • Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with site management & monitoring staff
