We are looking for a Senior Manager, US Indirect Tax for our Global Tax group.

The role is based in Chicago and serves as US indirect tax leader for our Global Tax function.

What this job involves

  • Manage a team of two and work closely with a team of ten Chicago-based members of the JLL Global Tax function, including collaboration with our Global Tax Technology Director and Tax Technology Manager to identify, design and implement technology-enabled process improvements.
  • U.S. sales tax compliance: Oversee and coordinate monthly sales tax processing, including the collection of sales tax on taxable repair and maintenance services, the verification of tax paid on purchases, and the filing of various sales and use tax returns. Review all processes and institute ongoing technology-enabled efficiencies in all aspects.
  • U.S. gross receipts tax compliance: Oversee and coordinate monthly gross receipts tax processing, including the allocation of charges among business lines and client accounts. Review all processes and institute ongoing technology-enabled efficiencies in all aspects.
  • U.S. personal property tax, business license, and unclaimed property compliance: Oversee and coordinate all compliance obligations, including the allocation of charges among business lines and client accounts. Review all processes and institute ongoing technology-enabled efficiencies in all aspects.
  • Business colleague and client consulting: Assist business colleagues with questions on all of the above topics. Tasks may include contract review, continuing education of business colleagues on relevant issues, tax research and participation in client calls to resolve issues and questions.
  • Audits/notices: Oversee and coordinate inquiries and requests from taxing authorities regarding the above compliance functions.
  • Account reconciliation & review: On a monthly basis, oversee and coordinate complete reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts related to the above compliance functions.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

159,844.00 – 203,107.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
