Job Summary

As a Senior Specialist, you will perform administrative activities for the Military/Government Sales Channel within the Contracts Department at ZOLL. You will also be involved in shaping the department for future success. This role will support the Military/Government sales channel internal/external customers at ZOLL.

Essential Functions

  • Review Federal/Military Agreements for compliance with ZOLL’s business policies and legal requirements.

  • Research existing or legacy contracts to leverage previously agreed to language

  • Responsible for administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with Federal/Military

  • Review and prepare solicitation/bid (RFI, RFQ, RFP) submissions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications in a timely manner

  • Independently draft 1st pass redline responses to Federal/Military Agreements as well as draft and review amendments to existing contracts utilizing common contracting methods and approved processes

  • Prepare quotes for Federal/Military Sales Team.

  • Maintain current database of product information and other relevant information for bid submission.

  • Prepare and distribute Federal Government letters for Federal/Military Team.

  • Update and distribute Government information.

  • Assist the Supervisor of Contract Negotiations with negotiations of contract terms and conditions with customers as well as ensuring that pricing integrity is maintained through conference calls, email, etc.

  • Act as a liaison between Contracts Department staff, Sales, Legal and other departments as required

  • Provide support to Supervisor of Contract Negotiations and Contract Manager.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the sales team regarding federal/military contract content and applicability to their customers

  • Interface with Customer Service, field sales, Risk Management, legal, and others on contract/pricing issues

  • Respond to miscellaneous data/report requests, requiring analytical thinking


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required or

  • Equivalent required

  • 5+ years of contract experience required and

  • Has experience in contract review required and

  • MS Word track changes experience required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be confident in ability to work independently after initial training

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Strong computer skills: high level of proficiency with MS Office applications is critical.

  • Knowledge of reporting software (i.e., Access, R&R, Crystal).

  • Recent experience working with Oracle or other similar ERP system

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to prioritize projects

  • Proven ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and support within all levels of the Organization

  • Senior level leadership skills:

  • Lead by example

  • Address problems by independently finding solutions to present to Supervisor

  • Work independently, but know when it is appropriate to ask for help

  • Complete yearly objectives provided by Supervisor

  • Train and mentor the lower-level team members

  • Help to build a team environment

  • Show initiative in process creation to resolve department issues.
