Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Project Role : Teradata database administrator
Project Role Description : Designs, builds, tests,deploys and maintain application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure. Can deploy infrastructure and platform environments, creates a proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security and performance.

Job Requirements :
Key Responsibilities:
1 Need to work directly with Project stakeholder to understand the requirement and the feasibility analysis
2 Good understanding system/database design, implementation, troubeshooting and maintenance
3 Provide guidance and support to Application Developers during performance impact
4 Impact assesment during any critical activity
5 Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
6 Collate, prepare and present statistical information for internal and external use.
Technical Experience:
1 Strong understanding on the Teradata database administration.
2 Managing and tune database performance, stability and reliability of the systems
3 Strong knowledge on Key Teradata features like Parallel Processing Architecture, Linear Scalability, Shared Nothing Architecture etc.
5 Storage Capacity planning with effective database management
6 Database patch plan and apply
7 Experience database migration and upgradation.
8 Experience in Teradata security administration and user management policy.
9 Experience in data load and export.
10 Experience in data archive and restore.
11. Troubleshoot experience in user problems.
12. Experience in periodic database maintenance tasks.
13. Experience in database backup and recovery.
14. Experience in User maintenance, Database Object maintenance etc.
15. Good knowledge of Teradata Systems and Teradata related products
16. Basic knowledge of SQL and Query Tuning.
17. Good knowledge of ITIL is mandatory
18. Good working knowledge of Linux
19. Good knowledge of SOX regulations
20. Experience working in IT Infrastructure management environments
