About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Sr. Manager, Program Management to spearhead our Finance AI transformation. As a strategic leader, you will drive the adoption of AI solutions that deliver maximum business impact. The role will provide significant senior leadership visibility both within the Finance function (oCFO) and within Workday’s Product Organization, offering opportunities to shape our AI strategy and influence future business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI adoption strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Identify, prioritize, and lead high-impact AI initiatives across the organization.

• Collaborate with business, product management, and technology team to implement AI solutions.

• Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the Finance function.

Program Management:

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of AI programs, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.

• Lead and mentor a team of program managers, providing guidance and support.

• Develop and implement robust program management methodologies and tools.

• Measure and report on program performance and find opportunities for improvement.

AI Product Development:

• Partner with product management to evangelize AI features for development.

• Ensure alignment between AI features and business needs, increasing return on investment.

• Lead the development and launch of AI-powered products and services.

People Leadership:

• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of program managers.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

• Provide coaching and guidance to team members, supporting their professional growth.

AI Education and Enablement:

• Cultivate a data-driven culture within the Finance function.

• Develop and deliver AI training programs to empower employees.

• Promote the use of AI tools and techniques to drive innovation.

About You

You are an innovator with a proven track record of driving AI adoption and delivering measurable business impact. Your passion for technology and ability to build high-performing teams are instrumental in your success. To excel in this role, you will need:

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of delivering successful AI initiatives.

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams.

• A deep understanding of AI technologies and their application in business.

• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization.

Other Qualifications:

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to influence and drive change at a senior level.

• Hands-on experience using tools such as Asana, Trello, Smartsheet or similar.

• PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications preferred.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
