Job Summary

M-T 3:00pm-8:00pm (F) 3:00pm-6:00pm 23 hrs /week

The primary responsibilities include:

Safely operating shuttle buses or coach-style passenger vehicles.
Transporting passengers according to scheduled routes and assigned destinations.
Following traffic laws, company policies, and fleet safety procedures.
Providing courteous, professional customer service to passengers.
Communicating with dispatch regarding delays, detours, or operational issues.
Maintaining required logs, including passenger counts, mileage, inspections, and trip records.
Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical or safety concerns.
Assisting passengers with disabilities, including operating wheelchair lifts.
Ensuring passenger capacity limits are followed.
Responding appropriately to emergencies and reporting incidents to supervisors or dispatchers.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials
MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required Commercial Drivers License [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Transportation Registry of Motor Vehicles required

Experience
Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent driving skills for shuttle buses and coach-type vehicles with the ability to navigate various road and weather conditions safely.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Great improvisational skills.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card from Occupational Health.
- Ability to possess and maintain an Air Brake Endorsement and Passenger Endorsement on a CDL license.
