Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Software Engineer based out of Aurora CO.
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to lead a software team. This person should have experience with or knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, hands on experience with the Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence), experience coding a project in an object-oriented language such as C++ or Python (python preferred), and experience with establishing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines. Our small agile Scrum team is highly energized and has a significant software effort on a growing program with a large program impact. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree + 14 years of relative experience; Master's degree + 12 years of relative experience: PhD + 9 years of experience or an additional 4 years of relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Candidate must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI security clearance to be considered and must be willing to take a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)
- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker
- Experienced Python/C++ programmer
- Experienced team leader
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile software development using object-oriented Python in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
- Experience working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience working with AWS Services
- Experience with Dockerization and Container Management (Dockers and Kubernetes)
- Previous exposure to working with ground systems (scheduling, tasking, antennas, working with hardware interfaces)
- Current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) completed within the last 5 years
Salary Range: $157,500.00 - $236,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
