THE ROLE

As a Sr. Finance Manager, you will be the strategic financial backbone of our Marketing organization, transforming complex data into a growth engine. You will partner directly with senior Marketing leaders to optimize global investments, ensuring every dollar fuels our mission to dominate the market. By bridging the gap between high-level strategy and operational rigor, you’ll drive the financial discipline and cross-functional collaboration that sustains our competitive edge.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead Strategic Planning: Architect the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly close cycles, delivering executive-ready narratives that guide global investment shifts and ensure financial predictability.
  • Advise Executive Leadership: Act as a primary finance business partner to Marketing leaders, utilizing sophisticated scenario modeling to influence high-stakes trade-offs and maximize program ROI.
  • Drive Financial Governance: Establish and govern robust processes for accruals and budget management, ensuring total alignment between marketing strategy, departmental spend, and corporate accountability.
  • Modernize Insights: Identify and implement process improvements using data visualization tools to translate complex spend patterns into clear, actionable business intelligence for cross-functional stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strategic Finance Expertise: Extensive experience leading complex FP&A cycles and financial planning (preferrably supporting Marketing, Sales, or similar Go-to-Market functions) with a focus on outcome-based budgeting and investment prioritization.
  • Executive Influence: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating financial data into compelling strategic recommendations.
  • Analytical Strength: Financial modeling and proficiency with data systems (such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, or equivalent) to evaluate program performance and automate reporting workflows.
  • Operational Ownership: A proactive mindset for managing financial governance and cross-functional processes, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Raleigh, NC, or Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
