You are a key individual contributor to ensure IT Project & Portfolio Management Office delivers IT projects within the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You have the ability to maintain the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment. You would be an ideal candidate if you are structured and self-driven to ensure successful day-to-day operations of projects within scope while providing support and guidance to colleagues and other project leads within IT when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversees multiple IT projects from initiation to completion including defining project meeting cadence and leading project meetings
  • Define and maintain project scope, timelines, and reports
  • Define and manage resource needs for projects
  • Coordinate project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Communicate with stakeholders, IT management, vendors and executives as needed
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Lead risk management and mitigation efforts
  • Gather and analyze project performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Apply and adheres to IT project management standards and processes
  • Applies knowledge of the human element and emotional intelligence to improve success within every project and daily work.
  • Support Project and Portfolio Management Office in coordinating standard portfolio review meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Broad technical understanding of IT processes (security, network, ERP applications and other various aspects of IT), a plus
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience
    • Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and cross-functional project teams.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
    • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
    • Well versed in project management methodologies and processes (e.g. waterfall/traditional, agile, scrum, Kanban, lea)
    • Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices, a plus
    • Azure DevOps experience, a plus
