Summary of role:

As a Director – Advisor Compensation Analytics & Strategy you will develop and manage a comprehensive Group Retirement advisor compensation plans that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory standards.  You will also collaborate closely with distribution management to support strategic initiatives, optimize advisor performance, and drive organizational growth.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Develop and manage a comprehensive advisor compensation plan

  • Develop a structured advisor compensation plan that aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and market competitiveness
  • Collaborate with distribution, compensation, and compliance teams to ensure effectiveness and transparency of the compensation plan
  • Oversee financial budgeting and forecasting for compensation expenses

Provide data-driven insights on advisor performance and productivity

  • Utilize analytical tools to assess advisor performance and key business drivers
  • Develop intuitive and actionable insights through data visualization to support strategic decision making
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior business and finance leadership and distribution management

Partner with distribution management to support strategic initiatives and organizational growth

  • Collaborate with distribution management to develop and implement field design strategies
  • Manage and develop expense budget for distribution organization and ensure cost efficiency
  • Provide support to optimize resource allocation and drive productivity

Implement rigorous financial controls and streamline advisor compensation processes

  • Partner with controller, compensation, and compliance teams to establish and enforce rigorous financial controls in advisor compensation
  • Streamline advisor compensation process by leveraging automated system, improving workflows, and enhancing reporting capabilities

Oversee financial reporting of advisor compensation

  • Generate and review regular financial reports for commission, advisory fees, and advisor benefits
  • Prepare in-depth breakdowns and analyses as needed for decision making

Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of experience, preferable in finance or accounting
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details
  • Aptitude to multitask, handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools
  • Collaborative working style a must

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ and Los Angeles, CA. the base salary range is $123,000 - $185,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus [in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
