As part of our City of Joburg (COJ) team, you will provide professional telephonic and email support to users, assist with registrations, submissions, and payments, and ensure accurate logging and resolution of support queries in line with company SLAs.

This role focuses on first-call resolution, strong customer service, and efficient problem-solving within a structured call centre environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Professionally attend to incoming calls and respond to user emails

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve user issues, aiming for first-call resolution

  • Assist clients with registrations, submissions, and payments

  • Log, assign, and track support requests according to company SLAs

  • Ensure accurate call logging and correct categorisation of queries

  • Provide guidance on system usage, applications, and supporting software

  • Troubleshoot application and basic computer-related issues

  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and resolutions

  • Meet performance benchmarks and SLA targets

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months – 1 year call centre experience

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal English)

  • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail

  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Proactive approach with accountability for resolving issues

  • Matric required

  • Call Centre Certificate advantageous
