Director, FE Central Team Controller

As the Director of the FE Central Team at Micron Technology, Inc, you will oversee the end‑to‑end FE planning and accounting close process, ensuring global alignment across site finance teams on timelines, templates, and expectations for cross‑network consistency. This is an exceptional opportunity to influence strategy, drive operational excellence, and elevate financial performance across a world‑class manufacturing network.

You and your team will partner closely with groups such as Front-End Operations, Corporate Finance, Global Front-End Finance, and cross-functional teams throughout Micron. You will lead initiatives to design and implement cross‑network process improvements, optimize FE manufacturing strategy through data-driven analysis, and provide expert financial guidance to support corporate priorities. You will also collaborate with FE Central leadership to assess and present strategic initiatives, shaping financial decision‑making that enhances shareholder value while voicing well‑informed perspectives and taking thoughtful risks.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage overall FE planning and accounting close process.  Provide guidance to site finance teams globally on timeline, template and expectations for cross network consistency
  • Design and drive cross-network process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with FE Ops Central team to optimize FE manufacturing strategy based on data driven analysis to maximize shareholder value
  • Support corporate initiatives with expert opinion and advice on FE finance related topics
  • Partner with members of FE Central team leadership in identifying, assessing and presenting strategic initiatives. Drive financial business decision-making, emphasizing and improving shareholder value generation, voicing opinions and taking informed risks
  • Be the go-to person of FE finance team for any cross-network matters
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to Corporate and the Global Front-End Finance team to integrate and streamline processes and systems for product costing, as well as financial and business planning and reporting.  
  • Collaborate with other teams inside and outside the global Finance organization to develop highly effective working relationships
  • Develop and lead team member performance, including planning, training, mentoring, rewarding, promoting teamwork, and developing leadership within the Site Finance team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Additional professional qualifications like CPA, CFA, CMA preferred
  • At least 10 years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Controlling or related fields in the manufacturing industry (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors or other high-tech industries preferred).  Financial operations experience (senior level) in a memory manufacturing operation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience.
