Job Description Summary

As OTR Business Operations & Lean Manager, you will support the Process Excellence Order-to-Remittance (OTR) Lean Leader in executing the Lean and Business Operations strategy across OTR. You will translate priorities into actionable initiatives and drive disciplined, cross-functional delivery, working hands-on with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, standardize processes, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity and Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (S-Q-D-C+) performance through Lean deployment and structured problem solving.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive Lean Execution: Own the delivery of assigned Lean initiatives end-to-end — managing milestones, risks, and dependencies — and track progress against S-Q-D-C+ metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure measurable impact
  • Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Project Management, Poles Operations, Global Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure Lean priorities are understood, aligned, and delivered. Facilitate daily management routines, operational reviews, and performance tracking, and support leaders in resolving bottlenecks through structured problem solving
  • Lead Kaizen & Structured Problem Solving: Lead Kaizen events and structured problem-solving sessions to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time, and deliver productivity targets. Apply Lean tools — including process mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work — to drive measurable, sustained improvements
  • Standardize & Build Capability: Drive standardization and simplification across OTR through the development and deployment of standard work, templates, and Lean playbooks. Coach teams to apply Lean principles, daily management practices, and structured problem solving, building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
  • Accelerate AI-Enabled Transformation: Identify and deploy AI-enabled solutions that accelerate Lean initiatives and improve operational productivity. Integrate automation and data-driven approaches into core operating rhythms and enable teams to adopt faster, more informed ways of working

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or commercial area or equivalent experience or qualifications
  • Significant experience in delivering end-to-end improvement initiatives in OTR, Project Management, or Operations environments
  • Proven track record of driving measurable impact across productivity, cycle time, and quality outcomes
  • Strong hands-on application of Lean tools, including Kaizen facilitation, daily management, root cause analysis, and standard work
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional execution in a matrixed, global organization, including influencing and challenging stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong analytical approach with the ability to translate data into actions and track performance against S-Q-D-C+ metrics and KPIs
  • Proven experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously with full ownership of delivery

Desired Characteristics

  • High ownership and bias for action, delivering end-to-end with minimal supervision
  • Strong execution discipline and Say-Do ratio, with consistent follow-through
  • Ability to operate independently while aligned, acting as an extension of the Lean Leader
  • Comfortable challenging stakeholders and pushing for results
  • Structured, hands-on problem solver with focus on root cause and sustainable outcomes
  • Strong collaborator able to build trust across functions
  • Agile and practical mindset: able to prioritize, simplify, and focus on impact
  • Growth mindset with interest in AI-enabled ways of working
  • Thrives in high-demand, multi-priority environments
