What You Will Do:

The Management Consultant/Manager in Guidehouse’s Disaster Recovery Practice responsibilities include:

  • Leading delivery teams on high impact Program Management and Grant Administration Programs in response to disaster events nationwide
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of and ability to operationalize policy issued at the Federal, State and Local level as part of the day-to-day work duties
  • Establishing approaches to manage the full-life cycle of grant programs from Start-up to Closeout
  • Facilitating meetings with client stakeholders and multi-disciplinary internal teams
  • Identifying and implementing overall program improvements for clients
  • Managing staff along with providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Driving business development activities including leading RFP responses and proposal development
  • Ability to lead account planning and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives


What You Will Need:

  • 7+ years minimum of experience in a management or A&E consulting firm and/or program management role with at least 5 years of experience in a Local, State  or Federal agency
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience managing projects and junior & mid-level staff


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • MBA, MPA or other Master’s degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Government, Political/Social Science, Information Systems, Operational Research, Management, International Development, Economics, Urban Science and/or related fields.
  • Previous working experience with federal agencies such as FEMA, HUD, DOT,  HHS and DOE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
