Position Summary

You will be in the forefront, leveraging new and existing technology to accelerate the transformation of IT in support of the business. The Sr. Cloud Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the Public Cloud environment.  You will collaborate with other Architects and Engineers to enable enterprise applications to meet (or exceed) the organization business goals. The Cloud Engineer - Senior is also involved in identifying the emerging technologies for cloud native workload to enable (and accelerate) CVS’s journey to the Cloud.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in public cloud platform
  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell or Javascript
  • Experience working with GCP networking, IAM, data protection, encryption and site reliability solutions (specific examples of each will be requested)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ Years: Design and deploy in GCP using best practices and industry standards
  • Experience migrating on-premises infrastructure to GCP
  • Experience Configuring GCP monitoring and alerts for cloud resource availability
  • 6+ years of experience working directly with GCP Infrastructure services (VPC, VPC Service Controls, Shared Networking, Firewalls etc ) deployment
  • 6+ Years of experience working directly with IAM, design and implement custom roles
  • 3+ Years of experience in design, deploy and managing GKE
  • Experience leading and driving cloud best practice and architecture discussions in large organization
  • Vast understanding of cloud services and solutions in platforms such as GCP
  • Experience planning and executing on-premises to GCP migrations
  • Strong practical knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems (on-premises & IaaS)
  • GCP Certification
  • Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery
  • Experience with DevOps practices

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
