The Everyday Banking team supports the full spectrum of customers’ transaction banking, spending and deposits needs. We support over 10 million customers manage their day to day spend, and save and invest to achieve their financial goals through our market leading products and services. This role sits within Deposits Pricing and Governance crew, accountable for the Deposits product suite that includes mass market products (Term Deposits, NetBank Saver, GoalSaver), segment specific products (Youthsaver, Pensioner Security Account, Private Bank Account), and specialist products (Safe Custody, Assurance of Support). The Savings Value stream helps customers reach their goals through simple and innovative solutions through products that meets customers’ needs.

Do Work That Matters

As the Executive Product Owner Savings, you will report to the Crew Lead Deposits Pricing and Governance and play a crucial role defining and delivering the Savings product vision and strategy. You will lead the Saving Value stream, that includes product managers, engineers and other product owners. You’ll work closely with partners in Pricing, Analytics, Digital, Legal, Compliance, L1 Risk and other squads within the EDB Domain to drive growth in customer engagement, deposit balances and market share.

Specifically, you will;

  • Lead a squad of product specialists
  • Lead the Savings Value stream that includes engineers and other POs
  • Defining and deliver the Savings Product vision and strategy
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the product, streamline customers experiences, and drive outcomes aligned to our KPIs and OKRs
  • Attract and develop talent including interviewing, recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of squad members and other product owners.
  • Obsess over the customer experience including actively seeking voice of the customer to improve service offering across all our channels and segments
  • Identify, articulate, and manage risks and compliance across streams of work, and take accountability for effective issues and incident management
  • Influence & manage multiple senior stakeholders
  • Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking

We want to hear from people who have:

  • 8+ years’ product management experience, preferably within financial services
  • Experience leading change/transformation initiatives across product, customer and digital
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategy experience
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder and influencing skills, ideally with people management experience
