Responsibilities:

                     This role will report directly to the commercial excellence and business development Head for Saudi Arabia, and will work closely with GM, business unit heads, HR, compliance, finance, Supply chain and value and access director.

  • Lead the SME strategy for Saudi Arabia
  • Plan and effectively allocate resources to provide required support to commercial teams in collaboration with BU Heads
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables/support
  • Coordinate with BUHs to review compliance/complement market target and segmentation approach, metrics, training and system requirements
  • Provide relevant information for commercial strategy to BUs
  • Ensure that SME strategies within the BU’s are harmonized and aligned with the company strategy
  • Manage, coach and develop direct SME staff
  • Identify best practice and facilitate best practice sharing across business units
  • Collaborate with regional SME projects and initiatives to share best practices and align efforts
  • Responsible for all CRM related matters & SIP/variable scheme setup, monitor and actual results that aligns with Amgen ethics and compliance standards
  • Run and follow up with marketing team the market research activities

Qualifications:

          The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge or the equivalent.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or pharmacy
  • At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in market research, business analysis and marketing
  • Experience in people management
  • Demonstrated experience in all areas related to Sales Force effectiveness: CRM, Incentive Schemes, Sales Force Activity, Objective Setting, Territory Alignment, …
  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing
  • Experience that proves thorough understanding of the Key Sales Drivers in the Hospital Pharmaceutical Market
  • Demonstrated experience in working in multinational companies and cross-functional environments
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both in oral and written communication

Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced degree(s) in Business (MBA) or Science
  • Experience in managing a team of Key Account Managers and/or Hospital Reps
  • Track record of successfully establishing and maintaining business processes
  • Record of success in participation on and in supporting diverse teams
