Overview

We are seeking a Technical PO to workclosely with engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to maximize product value through efficient and high-quality delivery, and with strong experience in Spring Boot, solid exposure to financial services (especially payments), and knowledge of web services and OpenAPI standards. The position focuses on the payment pre-processing layer, enabling secure and efficient connectivity between debtor banks, SWIFT back-end data services, and intermediary providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backlog & Delivery

  • Own and manage the product backlog with a strong technical focus

  • Write clear, detailed user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria

  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, technical dependencies, and risk

  • Ensure backlog readiness for sprint planning (refinement, sizing, dependencies)

  • Accept or reject deliverables based on defined acceptance criteria

Technical

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the development team

  • Collaborate with solution architects on system design and technical decisions

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, performance, and compliance standards

  • Drive resolution of technical blockers and manage technical debt

Stakeholder Management

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and vice versa

  • Align with Product Managers, business owners, and external partners

  • Communicate trade-offs between scope, cost, time, and technical quality

  • Support release planning and roadmap execution

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote best practices in software development and DevOps

  • Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability) are met

  • Monitor delivery metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience in the financial sector, ideally with payment flows, transaction processing, or banking integration.
  • High level of English, spoken and written.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and integrations

  • Familiarity with databases, system architecture, and security principles

  • Experience working with Agile / Scrum frameworks

Product & Delivery Skills

  • Proven experience as a Technical PO

  • Ability to break down complex technical topics into consumable backlog items

  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to challenge assumptions and make trade-off decisions

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, complex environments

Preferred / Optional Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS architecture and cloud-native development.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT standards, payments and Swift platform.
  • Familiarity with iframes, Web Components, and embedding technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and security practices relevant to financial systems.
