Context

Works from instructions and handles exceptions within these instructions, needs to make careful choices from learned options in comparable situations. Checks with senior Assembler or manager in prioritization and planning. Works independently, under supervision of progress and results and of adherence to the relevant procedures. Supports less experienced Assemblers 1-3 on parts of the work.

Gets to know the process of build or system and participates in solving technical issues and improvement initiatives in product or manufacturing process related to area of expertise.

Dealing with others within own team requires understanding, influencing and supporting people through applying rational arguments, aimed at causing actions by others and does not directly communicate with customers.

Requirements

Secondary vocational education, technically oriented, with thorough experience or Bachelor degree.

Responsibilities

Execution

Learns and performs technical activities, based on the standard Assembly procedures, guidelines and handbook.

Ensures Milestone Progress is met at the end of each shift and drives Milestone Progress across Shifts of Own Cabin.

Is able to lead own cabin team and is able to represent the own cabin team for technical matters throughout the shift ("Helicopter View of Own Cabin").

Ability to support / train up to JG3.

Knowledge

Build up knowledge of relevant processes, techniques, procedures within ASML, acquire relevant (new product / process) information, ensure the own development and/or exchange of knowledge from colleagues.

Materials / Products Management

Request, receive, check and store materials, tools / equipment and/or ASML products, prepare for distribution and ensure distribution to (internal or external) clients.

Product / Process Initiation

Contribute to realization of the introduction and integration of new products and/or processes in logistics / production, taking into account test protocols and applicable operations and guidelines.

Production Coordination

Carries out variety of manufacturing activities, monitor and/or supervise production activities. Works from instructions and handles exceptions within these instructions, needs to make careful choices from learned options in comparable situations and has no involvement in prioritization. Makes suggestions to manager in prioritization and planning.

Environment, Health and Safety

Follow mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.

Improvements and Optimizations

Signals and identifies possibilities for process optimization, suggests how to get to better functioning products (taking into account specifications) and/or (production/logistics) processes. ('Improve every day.')

Pro-actively identify structural issues on the shopfloor, drive small (e.g. A4) projects and/or participate in larger (e.g. A3) projects and suggest own Continuous Improvement proposals.

Data Documentation and Reports

Register and administrate information and transactions regarding material, tools / equipment and/or ASML products and provide relevant reports to internal and external parties (e.g. Shift transfer).

Perform advanced data entry tasks, including data verification. Is able to detect, report and register frequent/systematic recurring problems related to the related Milestone (e.g. DN's and MN's).

Support and assistance

Provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced ASML departments, colleagues or local personnel as necessary. Identify concerns / changes that may need to be made to ensure the organization is in compliance.
