Ready to accelerate Covestro’s commercial impact across Business Entities (“BE”)? As Head of Growth Excellence (m/f/d) within the Chief Commercial Officer (“CCO”) organization, you will lead a lean, high‑impact team that turns strategy into measurable value. This senior role combines hands‑on delivery with thought leadership, sponsorship of digital and AI product squads, and close partnership with BE commercial leaders.
What you will lead and deliver:
- You build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team of Growth Excellence (Senior) Managers and business enablement profiles in a global, agile setup
- You steer and deliver initiative clusters across New Customer Growth, Existing Customer Growth, Pricing, and Commercial Activation, translating complex challenges into clear project plans with scope, milestones, resources, and value targets
- You establish rigorous impact tracking to quantify and communicate P&L value across BEs and redeploy resources to the highest‑value opportunities
- You drive day‑to‑day implementation with pace and quality, including profitability analyses, pricing diagnostics, commercial performance reviews, and new commercial routines such as pipeline management and win rooms
- You sponsor Digital & AI product squads with IT&D/D&AI, ensuring business requirements inform digital product priorities and accelerating adoption of tools across the seller journey
- You drive (cross-)BE teamwork to co-create and implement key commercial excellence initiatives - driving playbook standardization, activating best practices at scale, and building a vibrant commercial community that shares wins and unlocks synergies
- You coach sales teams and Commercial Excellence practitioners, develop scalable playbooks and training, and communicate progress to the CCO leadership team
- You orchestrate cross-BE go-to-market strategies in priority growth areas such as but not limited to, robotics, defense, and AI servers aligning segmentation, value propositions, and activation plans to ensure consistent execution, accelerate market capture, and secure winning positions in these high-potential markets
Your Essentials:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is preferred
- You offer a strong track record (8-12 years) in B2B commercial excellence, strategy, pricing, or large‑scale commercial transformation with quantifiable P&L impact, ideally in industrials, chemicals, or adjacent specialties
- You demonstrate digital and AI fluency and have experience sponsoring product squads or driving digital transformation, bridging business and technology seamlessly
- Your CV shows a deep expertise in people leadership within project-driven and agile environments. You inspire high-performing teams with deep expertise and a culture of continuous improvement and you foster accountability and agility
- You communicate with executive presence, apply structured problem‑solving and financial rigor, and operate with an entrepreneurial bootstrapping‑to‑scale mentality. You demonstrate the ability to operate with credibility at CCO and Executive Leadership Team level
- You work confidently in global contexts and collaborate effectively across BEs and functions in a matrix environment
- Professional English is required, additional languages are a plus
