What You Will Do:

This Client Relationship Executive role (Director, Business Development) is responsible for business development strategy and execution to support growth of the Financial Service Consulting (Management Consulting, Global Investigation and Compliance Consulting and Technology Services Portfolio). You will leverage a broad understanding of the Financial Services Industry to better serve clients with valued portfolio of Business Service offerings including: mortgages, monitoring evaluations, AML, compliance, risk for sanctions entity, know your customer.   As part of financial services Business Development team you will continually enhance the value of services sold to the client and the reputation of Guidehouse Financial Services.   This role demands an extremely well networked client relationship/business development professional with contacts in the banking, insurance, capital markets, and/or Government Agencies that is able to transition that network to Management Consulting, Advisory and Technology Service project sales.

Strategic Client Leader and Relationship Developer

  • Consultative seller able to sell and support complex, outcomes focused financial services consulting service solutions
  • Trusted Advisor to Clients able to bring senior client relationships and develop the canvas for innovative, complex solutions
  • Leverages our Financial Services Guidehouse portfolio
  • Prepares and delivers clear, insightful and influential executive-level presentations and communications

Leverage your broad understanding of the financial services marketplace and Guidehouse offerings to sell relevant, value-add solutions to the client.

  • Developing and closing new commercial opportunities with existing clients and securing new clients.
  • Bring In-depth understanding of Financial Services, Consulting Services and Vendor Capabilities to identify and sell the right solutions to clients.

Team Building (attracting, motivating, retaining talent)

  • Serve as an advisor to account team leadership on solution definition and strategy.
  • Provide organizational leadership, performance management, mentoring, career development and coaching. 
  • Provide on the job training around solutions needs assessment and deal structuring of outcomes-based sales within the account communities.

Capability and Thought Leadership

  • Develop proficiency in explaining our client's portfolio component value propositions
  • Develop scalable model to support scoping and delivery.

  
What You Will Need:

  • Demonstrate you are a trusted advisor to C Suite/VP financial services clients and your internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a high degree of thought leadership and sales affinity that results in year. in year out net new sales in the Financial Services Consulting Areas (RIsk and Management Consulting).
  • Ability and executive presence to influence and collaborate with senior level Guidehouse Financial Services management and leadership teams, demonstrating expert teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • The successful candidate will display deep sales acumen and have excellent communication skills.
  • Proven at driving rigorous, fact-based analysis of client business problems that result in profitable firm opportunities.
  • Demonstrate you can develop and implement successful growth strategies for the Segment
  • Demonstrate you can build relationships internally across the enterprise—adapting and pivoting from being the key decision-maker to a team member in a consensus-driven organization.
  • 10 years of experience within financial services industry preferred
  • Selling to Financial Service companies, with preferred dominance in the Financial Services professional services offerings
  • In depth understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, client priorities, client organizational structures, politics etc. that impact successful sale
  • Clearly demonstrated business account development and selling experience in the range of $8+ million+(preferably) in business origination
  • Ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts on significant opportunities.
  • Able to travel per client and organizational demands (travel up to 50%).
  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college

What be Nice to Have:

  • Post graduate degree
  • VERY Strong preference to those with Super/Regional Bank Experience and Network
  • 10+ years of experience selling management consulting or technology solutions to Financial Services Organizations- particularly to regional/super regional banks
  • Experience successfully driving sales at a similar management consulting or technology firm
  • Functional or technical background in the solution areas described above
  • Candidates in New York, NY, Washington DC, Boston, MA are preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $183,200.00-$274,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
