Supplier Advanced Quality Engineer

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Engage and approve the initial feasibility discussions and commitments before supplier nominations.
  • Execute the APQP to the external suppliers for the assigned parts and suppliers and carry out regular onsite visits for critical suppliers.
  • Manage and approve initial PPAPs for the assigned parts.
  • Drive the Measurement Alignment process with external suppliers and receiving Adient Plants.
  • Ensure the APQP timeline is fulfilled along the APQP in line with the Launch timeline and Adient expectations.
  • Validate new external supplier process when required and follow the associated action plans until closure.
  • Ensure expected Supplier capacity is available by executing on site the production Run@Rate, when required.
  • Initiate and maintain the open issue list and follow-up action plans with the assigned supplier and Adient management counterparts.
  • Ensure that Supplier tool & equipment and maintenance plans support the project/program.
  • Provide the necessary guidance to the suppliers for Advance Quality activities.

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering and/or comparable training with a focus on quality management.
  • Proved professional experience in quality in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of the common quality management tools from the automotive industry, e.g. VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, 8D Reporting, Poka Yoke, Ishikawa.
  • English and good written and spoken German as advantage.
  • High willingness to travel in Central and Eastern Europe. Travelling time min 70% across Europe.
