Responsible for oversight and on-site installation supervision across multiple Service Provider customers.

Functional Responsibilities:

Customer focused, including the ability to work with project managers to foster long-term client relationships Self-motivated Valid driver license with a clean driving history. Be part of the installation teams at customer locations across the country Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment good working relationship with company personnel across all levels of the organization Strong technical knowledge of Cabling standards. Able to work at tall heights and lift 50+ pounds. Strong communication skills. Strong customer service skills.

Essential Job Functions:

8+ years’ experience working in a Central Office Environment including Lacing and Stitching.  Deep understanding of fiber installation standards and procedures DC Power cabling experience (hot work in BDFB highly desirable) Cable testing (fiber, copper, coax) experience Prior experience successfully leading installations Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, equipment and wiring documentation Familiarity with the Telcordia and TP76300 installation standards Responsible for the accuracy of all documentation as required  Experience with completing quality assurance procedures and checking the final product for errors Must be able to work a variety of shifts and travel extensively (road warriors needed)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be capable of performing the following work operations/job activities without supervision or direction.

  • Circuit modifications
  • Software adds or upgrades
  • Power transition work
  • Addition or removal of batteries
  • Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
  • Equipment testing and turn-up
  • Overseeing volatile work activities
  • Job-site supervision of subcontractor work.
  • Additions, modifications, or removals to Power Boards
  • Additions, modifications, or removals to Engine Generator
  • Addition or removal of common systems equipment/hardware
  • Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non- working equipment only)
  • Lead verification
  • Analysis of job specifications and drawings
  • Provide work assignments to crew
  • Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems
  • Correct office record drawings
  • In-process and final quality inspections
  • Able to communicate with customer on all aspects of the job throughout the duration of the job.

Work Environment:

May be required to work in a raised floor environment. May be required to work in small crawl spaces and/or shaft ways. May be required to work in facility manholes. May be required to hand dig or trench outside. May be required to work on top of buildings. Must maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage, staging and work areas on-site.

Operations and Location:

Hours of work may vary from week to week, including night work. Overtime may be required on short or no notice as deemed necessary by Management. Required to travel for jobs deemed necessary by management.

Must reside in the following areas: California, Florida, Boston, Las Vegas, Chicago, and St. Louis
