Roles and Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for implementing the service strategy and drive growth for the Motion Services Division in the UAE.  As the local division manager, you will be accountable for the P&L to achieve the performance targets. You will also showcase your expertise by running the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of service productivity.

This role is contributing to the {Motion} in {UAE}.

Here are some of the key Accountabilities for the Role:

• Foster a strong safety, integrity, and compliance culture across all service operations and customer engagements, ensuring zero tolerance for non-compliance and full adherence to ABB policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Translate global and regional service strategies into actionable local business plans, drive strategic initiatives, identify new market opportunities/white spots, and expand the installed base and service portfolio.
• Lead the local Service organization with full accountability for revenue, profitability, margin, cash flow, productivity, and operational targets, while ensuring optimal workshop utilization, loading, and safe operations.
• Ensure best-in-class project and service execution with strong focus on quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and KPI achievement, using performance reviews, target tracking, and corrective actions to drive results.
• Build strategic customer relationships, strengthen market position and loyalty, partner with Sales on opportunities and customer engagements, increase installed-base penetration and recurring service revenues, and drive improvements based on customer feedback and NPS.
• Ensure the Service organization is appropriately structured, staffed, and equipped; build organizational capabilities through training, succession planning, and competency development, while creating a high-performance culture based on accountability, collaboration, customer centricity, and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-country, cross-division, and cross-business-area growth initiatives; collaborate with global/regional teams, factories, Product Divisions, and internal ABB channels to drive standardization, operational excellence, and alignment between local execution and global strategy.
• Execute Motion Primus Inter Pares responsibilities by representing Motion at country level in the UAE and fulfilling fiduciary duties; drive alignment across MO management toward common outcomes and manage common functions fairly and consistently across all divisions.

Qualifications for the role:

• BSC degree in Engineering, MBA Would be preferred (Master of Business Administration)
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience, preferably in service with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record in P/L Management and delivering significant growth.

• Service Background, preferably in industrial motors and drives business coupled with good knowledge about main industries segments in UAE/Gulf Market.
• Effective communication skills & Personal Leadership Skills.
• Customer Focus and Market Orientation.
• Ability to define roles / responsibilities along with optimum delegation, assigning tasks & People Development.

• Fluency in English is a must.
• Work experience in complex applications across industry.
