A Day in the Life:
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Principal Software Engineer role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Develop and test medical device application software, document and troubleshoot issues, and work with instrument and hardware functions.
Use a variety of software troubleshooting tools including OTS and custom-built.
The candidate must have the ability to work well with a variety of individuals ranging from various engineering disciplines.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and wide range of products.
Qualifications-
MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of 7 years of technical experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of technical experience
Nice to Have
Proficiency in two or more of the following technologies: C++, Java, Java Script, C#, .NET, Python
Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
Demonstrated expertise in software test automation, both scripting and frameworks
Experience in technical specification and report writing
Strong skills with test automation and verification
Experience in software design for medical devices
Strong Leadership and mentoring skills
Experience leading projects from a verification test perspective
