Position Summary

The Corporate Accounting Senior Manager will manage core accounting operations as well as budgeting and forecasting for the corporate entity while serving as the financial systems optimization expert for the CAO organization. This role blends technical accounting expertise with strong systems acumen—particularly in JD Edwards (JDE) and OneStream—to drive accuracy, efficiency, and insight. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on problem solver with a passion for process optimization and system utilization. The position will be based out of our corporate office located in downtown Chicago, with a current hybrid schedule of collaborative office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for corporate cost centers, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Own the full budgeting and forecasting cycle for corporate cost centers, including timeline management, data consolidation, review processes, and executive deliverables.
  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and cost-center level insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a key liaison between Accounting, FP&A, and operational teams.
  • Serve as the functional lead for JDE and OneStream, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations in partnership with IT.
  • Lead or support special projects, including process redesign, system implementations, and corporate initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with some experience managing a team.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting processes.
  • Strong systems knowhow, experience in JD Edwards (JDE) and OneStream preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and influence without authority.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $127,200.00 - $190,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
