TechnologyAdvice has grown rapidly over the past 3 years and is projected to continue growing throughout 2024.  We’re looking for a Software Engineer III who can support our digital products through software development.  

As a Software Engineer III, you’ll write code, and review the code of others to maintain software that our engineers and users love.  You’ll be expected to be a strong contributor on the team while being able to work independently on tasks toward team goals.  You’ll work as part of a larger team alongside senior and staff engineers to add new features, assist business users, and resolve tech dept in our code base.

Our ideal candidate must maintain a high level of ownership and see assignments through to completion.

What you'll do

• Develop a working knowledge of the company's data, products, and services in order to better understand internal and external client needs
• Work independently on tasks and projects to support the products within the team’s scope
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration processes
• Analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug software defects, performance issues, and system failures
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using appropriate software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks
• Contribute to the implementation of robust and scalable software solutions that meet business requirements

 

Who you are

• 5+ years of software development experience, specializing in PHP with Laravel framework.
• Strong skills in programming, testing, debugging, and working with MySQL/PostgreSQL and modern web frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, stay organized, multitask, and manage time effectively.
• Agile and adaptable in fast-paced environments, with a "can-do" attitude and strategic mindset.
• Must have a working laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection, while maintaining confidentiality.
