Universal Collision Centre Central in Regina has a permanent full-time position open for a Journeyman Auto Body Technician!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review damage reports, prepare and review cost estimates, and plan work to be performed
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Fit weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipment
  • Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metal-cutting guns, air grinders, and wrenches
  • Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems
  • Replace underbody components, front end components, body components, doors and frame
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills
  • Bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Remove, install, align, and repair panels
  • Assist Technicians with vehicle construction, surface preparation and application of undercoats
  • Cleaning, detailing upholstery, trim, and hardware
  • Repair or replace interior components
  • Straighten bent frames
  • Fit and secure windows, vinyl roofs and metal trim to vehicle bodies
  • Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
  • Perform work in a safe manner, based on Trade Safety Awareness
  • Sign off on straight time hours for Apprentices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environment
  • Completion of Red Seal Journeyperson Certification
  • Unrestricted drivers license
  • Body Shop and automotive service knowledge and experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods
  • Self-driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
