Job Description

The opportunity

The Head of Proposition Competitive Services will perform in depth analysis of the competitive landscape for insurance products and propositions, to guide product design, pricing and sales.


Responsibilities

  • Review Indonesia insurance marketplace, and conduct analysis on their sales, services, prices, methods of distribution, and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition.
  • Build analytical tools to systematically collect comprehensive rate tables for detailed commercial pricing analysis.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Agency and Bancassurance sales professionals to understand selling methods and learn about the strengths of Manulife and competitor products.
  • Proactively deliver market insights to Proposition Category Owners as input to developing new products, enhancements and tactical sales campaigns.
  • Develop sales tools, materials and methodologies to demonstrate the winning features of Manulife products relative to competitors’.

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of Bachelors Degree in Financial, Business or related field of study
  • Minimum 7 years experience in product, actuarial, finance or distribution functions, with reasonable number of years in management position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge foundation for Life and Health Insurance products and sales
  • Experience in business intelligence or computer science
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to draw appropriate conclusions from large amounts of data and to present insights
  • Commercial savvy to develop sales methods that are compelling for customers and sales professionals
