Role Summary
An established team member with advance knowledge and experience that leads complex investigation and remediation for critical production service disruptions and/or service enhancements. Leads small, well defined technical projects focusing on cross functional collaboration. Acts as mentor for junior analysts. Identifies opportunities for process and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate and administer technology platforms and tools that support Expedia Group’s technology operations, ensuring stability, reliability, and adherence to defined standards.

  • Monitor, triage, and resolve operational incidents across services and environments, escalating effectively and driving timely restoration of service.

  • Execute standard changes, configurations, and deployments following runbooks and operational procedures, validating outcomes and documenting results.

  • Analyze operational data, alerts, and logs to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to improve runbooks, tooling, and processes, contributing to continuous improvement of operational workflows.

  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled and AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows that improve operational outcomes, applying AI/ML concepts to real‑world technology operations scenarios.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in technology operations.

  • Experience working in a technology operations, site reliability, support engineering, or similar environment supporting production systems or services.

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational tooling within a multi-service or platform environment.

  • Proven ability to follow and improve operational runbooks and procedures, including performing basic system, API, and data-related checks during incident response.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products or operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating large-scale, distributed, or cloud-based systems with strong focus on availability, performance, and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze incident trends and operational metrics to recommend and help implement process, tooling, or automation improvements.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on system design details such as low-level workflows, API behavior, and data modeling from an operational perspective.

  • Proven track record of safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions in production environments to improve detection, triage, or resolution outcomes.

  • Hands-on experience using AI‑assisted or AI‑driven operations tools (for example, for alert correlation, anomaly detection, or runbook automation) and contributing feedback to improve these tools.
