Machinist (MAZAK Quick Turn)

Reporting To:

Cell Leader (Machinst)

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR

As a Mazak Quick turn Machinist, you will perform essential machining, deburring, and sub-assembly tasks for both new build and aftermarket aerospace and industrial programs. Your role will involve working with various manual and machining operations, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. Shift Pattern: 2-Week Rotating AM/PM
AM: Mon–Thurs 6:00am–2:15pm ; Fri 6:15am–11:45am
PM: Mon–Tues 2:00pm–9:15pm; Wed–Thurs 2:00pm–9:30pm; Fri 11:30am–7:30pm

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate Mazak Quick Turn
  • Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and other machinery to manufacture components. 
  • Perform brazing, welding, fatigue and pressure testing, and other specialized tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Complete quality audits and work from engineering drawings and inspection plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to adopt lean manufacturing principles.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in aerospace or a similar environment.
  • Strong educational background, particularly in mathematics, English, and science.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude towards lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Flexibility to work in various manufacturing areas and adapt to changing tasks.
  • Willingness to work overtime and adjust shift patterns as needed.
