Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team: CST

Impact & contribution:

Reduce the deployment time of model by utilising advance tools and technology. In this role you’ll assist execution of strategic initiatives to improve team effectiveness and performance.

Reporting lines: Reports to Senior Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and thrive on solving complex problems and opportunities in a systematic approach.

  • Undertake solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.

  • Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes.

  • Analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities.

  • Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals.

  • Advise on approach to service engineering and solution design, recommending alternative approaches where required.

  • Software development according to program specifications and as directed.

Essential Skills:

  • 10 - 15 years of practical, hands-on industry experience in a similar role.

  • Experience with AWS, particularly CloudFormation.

  • Building & optimising Docker containers

  • Enabling CI/CD practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) or equivalent.

  • Developing Kubernetes application solutions.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices and principles.

  • Automating repetitive tasks using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, etc.

  • Experience decomposing complex problems down into manageable components.

  • Reviewing proposed code changes and recommending alterations.

  • Able and willing to participate in hands-on configuration activities.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
