What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will lead change management transformation efforts for FEMA. The Managing Consultant will develop Change Management Strategies and Strategic Communications efforts to foster adoption of software certification related changes.  

The Managing Consultant will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Leading teams in the development of change management and communications strategies and accompanying implementations plans
  • Performing stakeholder analyses, including segmenting and developing stakeholder personas and journey maps
  • Developing stakeholder engagement approaches and initiatives
  • Developing multi-channel communications products for communicating with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of change and communications initiatives and activities
  • Preparing for and leading internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings
  • Providing direction and technical assistance to a team of at least 5 in the areas of problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex solutions
  • Managing multiple concurrent assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products
  • Prepare a wide range of briefing materials and concise summaries of assessments, evaluations, and plans, communicate program status and progress to senior leaders.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience related to Change Management or Communications or Strategic Planning or Project Management and/or Financial Management


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • SEVEN (7) or more years of relevant experience leading change and communications efforts and directing the work of a team
  • Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC a minimum of two days a week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Certified Change Management Professional Certification, PROSCI or other change management credential
  • Experience consulting for the Department of Homeland Security
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of business, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships
  • Experience working in DHS

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
