The Senior Software Development Engineer leads the design, development, and implementation of software applications and systems from concept through deployment, serving as a technical expert and project lead to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions while supporting cross-functional development, resolving complex software issues, and mentoring engineering teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, design, develop, and test complex software systems or applications while leading full lifecycle activities such as architecture, coding, debugging, integration, and validation (35%).
Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software issues across new and legacy platforms, including customer-reported problems and enhancement requests (20%).
Collaborate with engineering, QA, hardware, support, and product teams to evaluate requirements, align deliverables, and ensure successful software releases (20%).
Implement robust coding practices, conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, processes, and platform architecture (15%).
Mentor junior developers, support cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative software engineering culture (10%).
Representative Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field
6–10+ years of progressive experience in software development
Proven success designing, developing, and deploying production-quality software
Deep expertise in programming languages, frameworks, and version control systems
Strong understanding of architecture, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design
Experience in iterative or agile development environments
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver scalable solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced development environments
Commitment to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture
