Handle primary Associate Underwriter duties (below) for assigned underwriters or functions in conjunction with the Surety Associate Underwriting Supervisor including eventual use of underwriting authority in support of new business, renewal and program underwriting. Handle claim intake of new claims including set up, assignment to appropriate claim handler and filing of initial claim documents. Handle closing of claims and filing of claim closing documents. Provide daily office support to the Glastonbury, CT office. Assist Underwriting and Claim Departments with reporting, quality control initiatives and projects as requested.

Operates with a significant degree of self-direction and requires substantial accuracy & attention to detail.

•    E-filing support responsibilities for assigned region 
•    ABS booking support for assigned region including new, renewal, endorsement, cancellation/reinstatement, bond closure transactions and use of external systems including FMCSA, NMLS, Surepath, Surety 2000 as needed.
•    Maintain accurate list of advance renewals and share with assigned region on a monthly basis in order to obtain underwriting approval of renewals to be booked.
•    Support billing discrepancies and receivables collection for assigned business working in conjunction with Finance billing & collections team and serving as primary point of contact for agency outreach on receivables.
•    Build relationships with counterparties at assigned agencies.
•    General support for assigned underwriters/territories including account and agency maintenance (systems data entry and maintenance, new agency setup requests and POA’s).
•    Assist with Quality Control initiatives as requested.  
•    Indemnity Agreement support for assigned regions including inbound indemnity agreement review, coordination with Claim/Legal, indexing, e-filing and physical fire-proof cabinet storage.
•    Assist Underwriting and Claim/Legal Departments as requested with general underwriting, reporting, forms or system needs.  
•    Assist Associate Underwriting Supervisor as needed with Admiralty booking and e-filing support, collateral administration and other miscellaneous assignments.
•    Assist with International bond placements, bookings, billings and monitoring.  
•    Provide daily office support to the Glastonbury, CT office (ordering office supplies, annual calendar set-up, reserving conference rooms, mail, etc.)
