Tax accounting Specialist

Objective of the position:

Assist the Head of Tax Accounting to determine the accurate recognition of the income tax provision in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and also follow up with the development of the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) for Daimler Mexico and the Mexican  companies of the Group, under Local Financial Reporting Standard D-4 and the International Accounting Standard 12 (FRS D-4 and IAS 12).

Support on the elaboration of the financial statement for Daimler México under banking rule on quarterly and annually bases.

Main Functions:

• Assist on the preparation on a quarterly basis, planning periods, November closing (Hard Close) and December closing (Year End) the computation of the deferred tax and effective income tax rate for each company of Daimler Group located in Mexico, under IFRS for corporate (MIF) and statutory Mexican purposes.
• Support on the preparation for the computation on the deferred tax and effective income tax rate for Daimler Mexico and the entities from Daimler located in México under IFRS, on a quarterly basis.
• Book and/or follow up with the accounting entries of current and deferred tax provision in each of the General Ledgers (GL) for each company of Daimler Group located in Mexico including balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts under IFRS for audit purposes.
• Assist in the determination of the annual adjustments in balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts related to the return to provision and True-Up of deferred taxes under IFRS, according to the tax returns prepared by the local Tax Team for each of the companies of Daimler Group located in Mexico.
• Prepare electronic and hard copy files of the procedures of Internal Control related to Tax Accounting to fulfill the SOX requirements.
• Support in the preparation of the footnotes and disclosures of the statutory financial statements of Daimler Mexico under banking rule to be submitted to the Mexican Stock Exchange, on quarterly bases.
