Title: Senior Agile Delivery Coach

Drive day‑to‑day excellence of Agile teams through hands‑on coaching, mentoring, and operational oversight. Teach SAFe classes, partner with business owners, Application Delivery Leads (ADL) to improve existing SAFe practices, develop Scrum Masters, and ensure teams deliver predictable, high‑quality outcomes through relentless continuous improvement. This role enables and influences teams rather than owning the transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of Agile teams — attend standups, observe team flow, surface impediments, and help teams maintain a steady delivery cadence.
• Mentor and develop Scrum Masters through one‑on‑one coaching, shadowing, feedback cycles, and tailored development plans.
• Coach teams on execution practices including sprint planning, refinement, demos, retrospectives, and definition of done.
• Remove impediments and escalate effectively — work with ADLs to unblock teams.
• Influence without authority — partner with business leaders, ADL to align priorities, foster collaboration, and drive adoption of agreed practices.
• Adapt SAFe to company context — translate SAFe principles into pragmatic team practices that fit existing structures and constraints.
• Teach SAFe classes and workshops to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members; assess learning and apply training to daily practices.
• Enable and improve Agile tooling — Share best practices for Azure DevOps across teams, including Boards, Artifacts, and Dashboards.
• Measure team health and delivery outcomes using flow metrics, sprint predictability, cycle time, and qualitative health checks; use data to drive improvements.
• Run continuous improvement cycles — design and lead experiments, capture lessons learned from SAFe executions, and share both successes and failures to accelerate learning.
• Lean out waste in processes — identify and eliminate inefficiencies to optimize flow and increase team productivity.

Required Qualifications

• SAFe Program Consultant SPC or equivalent SAFe instructor credential.
• Proven experience tailoring SAFe to hybrid or nonstandard implementations.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master with hands‑on exposure to daily team practices and at least 10 years in Agile delivery roles.
• Demonstrated success mentoring Scrum Masters and improving team performance.
• Experience participating in SAFe transformations and presenting objective outcomes and lessons learned.
• Advanced skills in Azure DevOps — practical experience with backlogs, dashboards and reporting functionality.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels.
• Additional Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, CSPO, or PMI ACP.
• Excellent facilitation and oral and written communication skills for both team and executive audiences.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• 2-4 years as a SPC
• Preferably have AZ-400 certification
• Background in scaling Agile across large value stream with 8-10 teams with consultants, employee and mixed teams.
• Coaching certifications such as ICAgile or related coaching training.
• Lean Six Sigma training
