We are looking for a candidate for the position of "Advanced Process Control Engineer" for the European Operations Center in Ostrava. You will be involved in deploying the latest digital solutions in industry, energy and infrastructure on interesting projects around the world. Job description:
Design of a technical solution from identification of the process model to commissioning
Work on projects both at customers in Italy and abroad with close interactions with clients and colleagues from different functions/divisions within ABB
Development of Advanced Process Control and Real Time Optimization applications for Italian and international customers
Working with the sales team to identify customer needs and, as a result, focus on meeting their needs
Support for customers with already deployed Advance Process Control solution
Participation in product development from identifying customer needs, designing solutions, testing completed parts and deployment at customer sites
Who we are looking for:
You have a high school/university degree in engineering (automation, chemistry, technology, etc.)
You have experience in physics, thermodynamics, chemistry, and automation and control
Experience in process control (including modelling, simulation and control design)
Knowledge of typical industrial processes (Oil & Gas, Rafining, Petro-chem and Power generation) is an advantage
Knowledge of DCS/PLC configuration and experience with advanced process control and process optimization is an advantage
You are proactive, communicative and can work both independently and in a team
Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
